The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is a national honor created to recognize employers that truly go the extra mile in recruiting, hiring, and supporting American military veterans. Established under the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017, this award is the only federal-level program that highlights employers for their commitment to veteran employment.
What makes this recognition so meaningful is that it’s based on real, verifiable criteria. Companies must demonstrate strong practices in hiring and retaining veterans, and the U.S. Department of Labor reviews each application to ensure the employer meets the standards outlined in the Act. These standards include a self-attestation process as well as a check for any violations of veteran-related labor laws.
